Tiquianos Beach Resort Review: Fees, Rates & Stay
Northern Mindanao has a lot of beautiful beach resortsâkahit saan ka pang province. But if nasa Misamis Oriental ka and malapit sa town ng Laguindingan, or traveling via Laguindingan International Airport and want to make the most out of even just one night by the beach, or maybe youâre simply looking for a good resort for an overnight stay, Tiquianos Beach Resort is one place we recommend.â
Weâre based in Opol, Misamis Oriental, which is just a short distance from Laguindingan. Opol has beach resorts too pero dahil hindi naman white sand, we searched for a beach resort that does. As usual, Facebook made it easy to browse options⊠haha! Thatâs when we found Tiquianos Beach Resort. Let me introduce it to you.

The first time I visited Tiquianos Beach Resort Laguindingan was back in 2024. We were invited by family for a simple lunch getaway. Itâs not a very big or long beach resort but itâs spacious enough to accommodate a good number of guests without feeling crowded. There are portions in the beach na partly cemented as an added structure for seating and walkways. Back then, I didnât get to swim, but we still enjoyed playing along the shore.

The Comeback
Recently, my husband searched for a beach destination because he really wanted to swim, and he came across Tiquianos resort again. Thatâs when I found out they also offer room accommodations for overnight staysâincluding cottages or tents by the shore. I didnât hesitate to agree.

Tiquianos Entrance Fee and Rates
They are currently constructing more accommodation rooms. For now, you may refer to their official Facebook page for the available room options and rates. As for us, weâll just share details about the room we got, the amenities we tried, and the rates we personally learned about.
Here are some of their rates, including the ones we personally experienced:
- Entrance Fee
- Day Pass- â±50 per head (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Overnight Rate- â±70 per head (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- Swimming Pool – walk-in â±100 for adults and â±75 for kids (9:00 AM-9:00 PM)

Our Stay: Kubo 2 Experience
The kubo house is cute and has a balcony. Itâs really just enough for two peopleâperfect for couples, but not ideal if you have kids since the bed is quite small. It includes complimentary breakfast for 2, free pool access, and free entrance. Inside the room, they provide a mini refrigerator with drinks (charged if consumed), electric kettle, 2 bottled waters, coffee, teaspoons, and mugs. The comfort room is outside, but hindi sya shared or common CRâyou have your own key so you can lock it anytime. Thereâs also a sink area with dishwashing paste provided. The room was clean and smelled nice, although medyo may kalawang na ang kettle na ginamit namin but itâs okay since sa labas lang naman.đ

đ¶ Connectivity
Thereâs no Wi-Fi in the rooms, but they have Wi-Fi vending machines at the restaurant. We tried using mobile data, but the signal was weakâSmart and Gomo network works better in the area.
đ For Booking, message their Reservation Frontdesk sa Messengerâdito kami nagpa-reserveâor call them directly sa number na ito: 0960 683 7338

Check-in: 2 PM and Check-out: 12 NN
Other amenities and rentals:
- Tents – â±500 (4-5 pax)
- Own Tent – â±250
- Cottages – may range from â±1,000 to â±4,000 depending on the size and location.
- Chairs for rent: â±25 each (we expected foldable beach chairs, but they were plastic chairs). Kaya gusto namin ni husband bumili nito. If you bring your own chair, they only charge â±20.
- Table with 4 chairs: â±500

Dining
Good food is never a problem here, as the resort features its own dining spotâthe Kilid Restaurant offers hearty meals you can enjoy any time of the day and Mihut Cafe for refreshing drinks, whether hot or cold, from coffee to non-coffee options, both open from 10 AM to 8 PM. We also used Maribank several times for our payments here, which made transactions quick and convenient during our stay.

Just a few quick reminders:
– They charge a corkage fee for outside food. For instance, if you bring your own rice, you wonât be allowed to eat inside the restaurant unless you pay a â±200 corkage fee.
– If you donât want to dine inside, you can just stay by the beach. You can also have your food packed to go, with a small additional fee for the container.

Tiquianos Beach Resort Review
Overall, my husband was very satisfiedâhe finally got to swim in the sea! Ako na bihira lang ma-engganyo sa dagat, naengganyo talaga akong maligoânot because of the beach, but because of my husband. The beach is actually better for shell picking than swimming (LOL). Thereâs also a reminder to wear footwear because you might step on sea urchins. So for beach lovers, itâs better to wear an aqua shoes for a more comfortable experience. By the way, I experienced some itchiness in the waterâbaka sensitive skin yarn.

One of the highlights is the beautiful sunset, which makes the place even more relaxing whether youâre swimming or just walking along the shore.

Nang medyo nagdilim na, we moved to the pool. I really liked their poolâitâs clean, flowing, and thereâs a lifeguard na serious talaga sa responsibility niya. The poolwater tasted a bit salty though (oops, I accidentally swallowed some), probably because katulad namin na from dagat to poolâeven though we showered first!

Pool hours: 9 AM â 9 PM
At night, the resort is lit with warm, golden lights that create a cozy and relaxing beachside ambiance.

They are also very pet-friendlyâsurprisingly, they even have a spot for rescued animals, and youâll spot some dogs roaming around wearing Tiquianos shirts, like theyâre part of the staff.

Tiquianos Beach Resort is a great option for a quick and relaxing beach getaway near Laguindingan. Hindi man ito masyadong kalakihan pero ang beach vibe, affordable rates, and simple amenities make it worth the visit. Kung hanap mo ay relaxing beach escape, this place is definitely worth considering.
